Gundog Estate — Refund and Return Policy
Effective Date: June 2026
At Gundog Estate, we take immense pride in the premium quality, craftsmanship, and cellaring potential of our multi-regional wines. Your satisfaction is our priority. If you receive a product that is damaged, faulty, or does not meet your expectations, we are here to assist.
Our Return and Refund Policy operates in strict accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. [4, 5]
1. Consumer Guarantees & Faulty Products [6]
Under the ACL, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure of any product we supply. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. [7, 8]
If you believe your wine is faulty, spoiled, or suffers from a major defect (such as severe cork taint/oxidation):
- Notification: Please contact our team within 30 days of receiving your delivery.
- Evidence: To help us resolve the issue swiftly, please provide your order number, a description of the fault, and a photograph of the bottle, label, and cork (if applicable).
- Resolution: If the wine is verified as faulty or spoiled, we will gladly arrange a full refund, credit, or a replacement bottle at no extra charge to you.
Note: Please do not dispose of the wine or bottle until you have contacted us, as we may require the product to be returned for quality control testing.
2. Transit Damage & Delivery Discrepancies
Wines are fragile and require careful transit. If your parcel arrives broken, visibly damaged, or is missing items:
- Please take a photo of the damaged packaging or broken bottles immediately.
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery.
- We will replace any broken or missing bottles promptly or issue a credit/refund for the damaged portion of your order.
3. “Change of Mind” Returns
Please choose your wines carefully. Because wine is a perishable and temperature-sensitive beverage, we do not offer refunds, credits, or exchanges for change of mind once the order has been successfully dispatched or collected from our cellar doors.
This exclusion applies to:
- Incorrect selections made during online checkout.
- Disliking the flavour profile or style of a correctly supplied wine.
- Over-ordering for personal events.
4. Refund Processing
Once a refund or credit is approved under our policy or the ACL:
- Refunds will be processed directly back to the original payment method used at the time of purchase (e.g., Credit Card, PayPal).
- Please allow 3–7 business days for the funds to clear into your account, depending on your financial institution.
