Description
Bushfire smoke destroyed our entire crop of Canberra District Shiraz so we went to the Yarra Valley to produce a similarly styled cool climate red. Fermentation was carried out of 10 days, followed by maturation that took place over 12 months in French oak puncheons. This release summarises the qualities of the vintage nicely, and I feel serves as a great illustration of regional style; vibrant, intensely aromatic, medium in weight across the palate, with that regional combination of dark fruit and higher spice notes enclosed in that glove of velvety tannin.
