2019 Gundog Estate Squire's Shiraz

2019 Gundog Estate Squire's Shiraz

Shiraz

Multi-Region, NSW

Offering amazing intensity of flavour

From $35.00 per bottle

    Description

Consisting of 75% Hilltops Shiraz (Freeman and Moppity vineyards) and 25% Canberra Shiraz (Wallaroo and Four Winds Vineyards), the concept is to build a foundation of dark fruit and deep-toned tannins with the Hilltops components, and then extend the wine vertically with the higher notes of exotically fragranced, and elegantly formed, Canberra Shiraz.

Of our Shiraz releases, the Squire’s seems to consistently offer the most imminent drinking experience. This may be due to the lighter oak regime (13% new French oak Puncheons), or maybe because in combination, these regions wrap each other up so well they end up delivering a very seamless flow. I feel we can only take this as a sign that we are on the right track!
